Contact us or call 972-262-5395 for Financial Aid questions.ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D. equivalent, or must be able to pass the Accuplacer Test (Admission test), as well as be able to read and write English. The applicant must schedule an interview with the admissions office and submit a completed enrollment form. Once the student has been accepted, they will be subject to the school’s refund and cancellation policy. Class size is limited based upon space availability. Efforts are made to assign a class time that fits the prospective student’s schedule.
The MT Training Center is open to all candidates without regard to race, color, nationality, national origin, religion, creed. age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or marital status. The admission standards are in complete compliance with the Texas Workforce Career School and Colleges Regulatory Board, the Texas Veterans Commission, and the U.S. Department of Education’s regulations. Special needs students will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Graduation Requirements
The student must demonstrate the mastery of the following: cutting, styling, coloring, chemical texture along with related theory and application as well as business skills, professional development, health and safety, salon management and as they apply to the rules and regulations established by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. The student must also:
- Satisfactory progress in both written and practical work has been maintained at 70% or above.
- Ensure that all tuition obligations have been satisfied.
- Final school examinations both written and practical have been passed with a score of 75% or above.
- The student has achieved 1000 clock hours.
Upon completion of the required hours, and all other graduation requirements having been met, the school will issue a Certificate of Completion.
Class Schedule
Day and evening classes are scheduled Monday through Friday. Upon completion of the program which consists of all one thousand (1000) total hours of instruction and successfully completing, passing written and practical examinations, the student will be issued a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION through the School and allowed to sit for the examination required by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Enrollment start dates into the Class A Barber program is open enrollment every Monday.
